No coding or software installation required.

Is AnalyZ free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — all core analysis features are completely free for registered users. No credit card required. AI feature limits on the free plan: Sense Making and Dashboard AI — 3 interpretations and 5 follow-up questions per month (combined); Data Canvas AI — 5 headline drafts, 5 context drafts, 10 chart or format actions, and 3 infographics per month. Paid plans with higher limits are in development. A Guest mode is also available with limited features (50 rows / 1 MB) if you want to explore without registering.

Question 3

Is my data secure? Does my data leave my browser?

Accepted Answer

Your data is processed entirely within your browser session and is never stored on our servers. All communication is encrypted with TLS (HTTPS). When you close the tab, the data is cleared from memory. Saved .analyz.json session files are downloaded directly to your device — no server copy is kept.

Do I need to know statistics or coding to use AnalyZ Solutions?

Accepted Answer

No. Every module includes a plain-English interpretation panel explaining what the results mean and what you should do next. The Guided Analysis feature also recommends the right test for your goal if you are unsure where to start.

What file formats does AnalyZ Solutions support?

Accepted Answer

For quantitative data: CSV, Excel (.xlsx / .xls), Stata (.dta), SPSS (.sav), and JSON. For qualitative data: plain text (.txt), and Word documents (.docx). You can also connect live to survey platforms via API including KoBo Toolbox, ODK Central, REDCap, Google Sheets, and any custom REST endpoint returning JSON or CSV.

What is Sense Making (AnalyZense)?

Sense Making is an AI-assisted feature that synthesises the analyzes you have run into a single coherent interpretation. Instead of reading each result separately, the AI connects your findings — identifying patterns, contradictions, and key takeaways across quantitative and qualitative analyzes together. Free users get 3 interpretations and 5 follow-up questions per month.

Does the AI see my raw data in Sense Making?

Accepted Answer

No. Sense Making, Dashboard AI, and Data Canvas all work from your analysis outputs — summarised tables, chart data, and coded themes. Your raw dataset is never sent to any AI model or stored on our servers. Processing happens inside your browser.

Can I use AnalyZ Solutions for my thesis or journal submission?

Absolutely. Results tables are formatted to publication standards where applicable. Download tables as Excel or Word files ready for your manuscript. Charts export as high-resolution PNG or interactive HTML.

Can I connect AnalyZ Solutions directly to KoBo Toolbox, ODK, or other survey platforms?

Accepted Answer

Yes. AnalyZ has a built-in API connector that lets you pull data directly from survey platforms — including KoBo Toolbox, ODK Central, REDCap, and Google Sheets — without downloading any files first. For KoBo-based platforms, you authenticate with your API token. AnalyZ automatically imports variable labels, value codes, and multilingual question text.

How do I export my results?

Every analysis module has export buttons below the results. Tables download as Excel (.xlsx) or Word (.docx). Charts export as PNG or interactive HTML. Multi-chart dashboards can be published as a shareable live link (with cross-filtering) or downloaded as interactive HTML. Data Canvas stories can be published as a public link — anyone can read them in their browser with no account required. In Sense Making, click Export to Word to download the full AI interpretation.

What is the Dashboard feature?

The Dashboard lets you assemble multiple charts side-by-side into a single interactive view. It supports cross-filtering — clicking a bar, slice, or data point instantly filters all other charts to show only matching data. You can also get AI-assisted plain-language interpretation per chart using AnalyZense. When ready, publish the dashboard as a live shareable link. Anyone with the link can explore it in their browser with no AnalyZ account required. Dashboards can also be downloaded as interactive HTML files.

What is Data Canvas?

Data Canvas lets you turn your analysis outputs into a scrollable, shareable narrative story. You add slides from any module (charts, tables, participant quotes, or bridging text), write plain-language insight headlines, and publish as a public link anyone can read in their browser with no account required. AI features include drafting headlines, writing context paragraphs, converting tables to charts, generating infographics, and refining visuals with a plain-language instruction. Data Canvas is designed for communicating findings to non-technical audiences such as donors, community members, or board members.

Does the Dashboard or Data Canvas send my data to an AI?

Accepted Answer

No. The Dashboard chart interpretation works from chart summaries and axis data — not your raw dataset. Data Canvas AI features work from your summarised analysis outputs, headlines you have written, and coded themes. In both cases, your raw data files never leave your browser and are never sent to any AI model.

Can I share my dashboard or data story with people who don't have an AnalyZ account?

Accepted Answer

Yes — both are designed for this. Publish a dashboard as a live link and anyone can open and interact with it in their browser, including cross-filtering, with no account or login required. Publish a Data Canvas story as a public link and anyone can read the scrollable narrative on any device, including mobile. Both links can be revoked or updated at any time from within AnalyZ.
